//Dress to impress//Look good//Feel good//
That’s what they tell us isn’t it? I find it so interesting what people decide to wear. Regardless of budget, it’s about effort and creativity. Being a ‘comfort-rather-than-charisma' kinda gal, I sometimes wish I had it in me to find the time and devotion to make “more effort”.
It’s been interesting watching my own daughter’s evolution from loving all things girlie, to her current phase of Converse t-shirt and crocs every day.
What comes first? The feeling of wanting comfort and choosing the clothes to go with the mood? Or clothes first, in order to make you feel a certain way?
I loved it when I heard my friend talk about the outfit she was wearing in a picture: “Oh yeah, that was the day I needed them all to know I was the boss - that’s my Don’t-Mess-With-Me dress'”
Interestingly, in these pictures I took of Maple, I asked her the same questions in both outfits, and her demeanour was very different, presumably because of what she was wearing and how it made her feel.
“RESEARCHERS HAVE IDENTIFIED A SERIES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CHANGES THAT OCCUR WHEN WE WEAR CERTAIN CLOTHES”
Interesting….
